Wonderful set of people. A man and a woman who accommodated me so well. I called in and the man on the phone politely assisted me with what I was looking for. Upon arrival I saw the man who remembered our conversation and passed me over to a woman who was just as wonderful. They deserve nothing but kindness because I felt so good leaving that shop. Overall the experience was good and would love to come back. I purchased a single rose in which they packaged and decorated so well as well as adding a bow and card.

Such a cute little gem of a flower shop. They sell flowers, cards and gifts. So it's hard to leave with just flowers lol. Always a warm and friendly reception incredibly helpful and caring, it's a must visit for floral gifts.

Our Story

Hi, I'm Beverley, the face behind Petals & Stitches.

Over ten years ago, I opened the doors to my little flower shop with one simple goal: to bring beautiful flowers and friendly service to the heart of Chapeltown. At the time, there wasn't a flower shop in the village, and I felt our community deserved somewhere local where people could pop in for a bouquet, a gift, or simply a friendly chat.

Flowers have always brought me joy, but they're not my only creative passion. Before opening the shop, I spent many years in dress design and teaching sewing classes, and I'm still a seamstress today. Whether I'm arranging flowers or working with fabric, I've always loved creating things that make people smile.

I'm lucky enough to share this adventure with my wonderful husband, Douglas, who you'll often spot helping out in the shop. Together, we've met so many lovely people over the years, and many customers have become friends.

For me, Petals & Stitches has always been about more than flowers. It's about celebrating life's happiest moments, offering comfort during the difficult ones, and helping people show they care. Whether you're choosing a birthday bouquet, wedding flowers, a thoughtful gift, or a farewell tribute, I believe every order deserves the same care and attention as if it were for my own family.

I love being part of this community, and if there's ever a way to go the extra mile for someone, I'll always do my best.
